The Present book is compilation of articles contributed by the library and information professionals from different organisations on current and popular topics in the field of Library and Information Science. This book is published as a festschrift volume to felicitate Dr M R Kherde, Director of Knowledge Resource Centre, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati, retiring on 31st May 2023. Dr Kherde is a notable personality in India as well as outside the country and a devoted educator, and a decisive leader in the library and information science. He has headed library associations in India (MUCLA and ILA) and solved many professional’s issues at national level. He has a vast experience as an academic librarian. The articles received are grouped in to personal impressions and theme of the conference organised on this occasion. The articles are contributed on various topics like plagiarism, professional ethics and academic honesty, librarianship of future and challenges in the profession, skill sets to manage future profession, role of librarians in higher education and research (NEP 2020), re-engineering of libraries using technologies, use of emerging technologies in libraries to provide services to users, transformation of traditional libraries and use of AI, DL and searching information using e-resources and big data etc. This is an effort to bring out the trends in profession and develop awareness among the professionals. The articles are edited by the editorial board consist of experienced professionals.

Dr. N. B. Dahibhate, Principal Technical Ocer (Rtd) From CSIR National Chemical Laboratory, Pune (India) retired in 2015 after completing 4 decades of service but is still active in the profession.
